Writer's Block: In the Event of a Zombie Emergency

Are you prepared for a zombie outbreak, or are you just going to wing it?

There is no way to properly prepare for an all out Zombie outbreak. You can have a store of food, water, a weapon ect but to deal with the world afterwards is just too much. I don't want to wing it but I haven't really prepared either. I like to think I know what to do and how to act during an outbreak but I can't tell if it's enough until the time comes and passes.

At that point I'll either be shuffling around moaning or running away from the horde.

In World War Z the bottom of the sea is teeming with zombies.

The book takes place a decade or so after the massive zombie outbreak and there are still zombies stumbling up beaches.


So, the sea is out of the question.

Well, they are UNDERWATER zombies right? It's not like a zombie can swim to you in the middle of the ocean.

However, they could be eating all the fish, which would be a problem. Do zombies eat fish?

If they are the type that are just after living meat they'll eat fish. Zombies can't swim but given the chance they can get tangled up in fishing nets and climb aboard ships resting in the shallows.

Dead bodies bloat and rise to the surface. Though I guess they sink eventually or the oceans would be practically littered with them or maybe sharks get them or something. Either way, be careful of the recently dead.

Zombies could still try to bite at ya even if they are bloated and floating.

also sharks are totally up on biting you but they might also bite at bloating and floating zombies if the level of decomp isn't too bad, so the enemy of my enemy is sometimes my friend

I'd probably just take the opportunity to live out my dream, and immediately fly to Tibet and climb a mountain or something. I'd just live in a mountaintop cave and do monkly things, and hopefully by the time a zombie was desperate enough to climb a whole mountain just for one brain, I would no longer mind.
