Status of Things

Oh man, I'm sitting behind the desk and I have to go to the bathroom but I just don't wanna do it! I DON'T!!!
2009 started rough but I see it's getting a little better. In the field of self improvement I see myself doing little things that will, ultimately, have a nice impact in all areas of my life.
I'm trying to be more personable with coworkers and those seeking to spend time with me. Sunday is a great example. Sure, it was to mainly sure a coworker how to email and what-not but normally I would not have gone out and I had a nice time with her as well. Today, after work, me and this girl grabbed some coffee and while that doesn't seem like a big deal I would have normally declined the offer instead of spending time with her. Though she invited me to join her and some friends for a movie and I turned her down...baby steps...it's all about baby steps.
I don't really go and hang out with anyone even with close friends I still had trouble "hanging out" with them. I'm not sure why so it seems absurd to continue acting like that.
I'm doing small exercises each day. Mainly stretching and push-ups but I'm building up to other activities. (remember, baby steps)
The biggest change, so far, is the fact that I'm wearing some makeup. Just to even out my tone and smooth my complexion but I find that my confidence is bolstered by it.
I'm also brushing up on my grammar instead of procrastinating about it. I still have a grammar handbook from PCC and the Elements of Style and this "Interweb" to help me.
I want to start learning Spanish next. I took four years of it in High School and could read and speak it great but all that knowledge is just gone or dormant. I would like to learn Greek but I'll probably learn a few key phrases so I can tell when my boss is talking about me. I already know a few curses of course.
