I guess I better organize this just a tad!
Starting on Sep 30, 2008.
I've slowed considerably since starting. Before this list I read a handful of other books but didn't bother to keep track of. This included World War Z, the Morning Star Strain (a zombie novel of poor quality but entertaining none the less), Jedi Twilight, The Woman in the Dunes, The Stranger, and The Road.
As of right now, The Road is my favorite book. Read it. Read The Road. People should plan on getting his book from me for the holidays.

Of and On Moxie Soda

The great and terrific, Mr. William Young, was kind enough to send down south a can of Moxie. I let it sit in the Post Office for far too long due to various reasons and obstacles but I finally retrieved days ago. I've always wanted to try out Moxie, given that I am keen on the name, so much so as to go by it in the form of Dr. Moxie Awesome. I have been warned about the taste before. Many people compare it to black liquorice, which I hate with a passion but I was willing to give Moxie a shot.
I let the Moxie chill overnight, as per the instructions that Mr. Young sent me. The can cracked open with a satisfying hiss and I carefully, oh so carefully took a nice long drink and immediately wanted to spit it out. It was awful, terrible, disgusting. I hate to say it but it's true. Moxie is horrible. The taste of carbonated black licorice and possibly the fact that I haven't even had a soda in over six months destroyed my tongue, throat and stomach. I was ashamed that I had such a violent and negative reaction to it. My partner in crime and fellow guinea pig, Harlock, tried it next and with a casual shrug stated that he could learn to like it. For this I wanted to slap him.
So! My dear Mr. Young! I thank you for the opportunity to try Moxie but I must report, that I do not like it. I am now on a quest to find a southern delicacy to send your way.

Something As Small As a Cat

Harlock has this cat, Zaku (I'm probably butchering the spelling) who has been so terrorized by the other cats that she refuses to get off of the dining room table unless it's to sit with Harlock's mom or, of course, to eat or poop. My goal was to get this cat to come willingly into Harlock's room. Last night, I accomplished my goal. Now she just trots on in, meows, hops on the bed and demands attention. This small feat, this small accomplishment has made me so happy. If I can help a cat over her neurosis then I can do pretty much anything.

I'm going to force myself to eat this here french bread pizza. I don't give a damn if I don't want it. I don't give a damn if it makes me sick. I hope it does make me sick. Afterwards I'm going to take some Nyquil and hopefully sleep a full night's sleep. Everything will be ok if I can do this.
Edit:
Ok, forced that damn pizza down my throat even though I felt like throwing it all up. Drank a whole bunch of Nyquil and now I'm pretty sure I am actually going to throw up. Now, I just need to wait for the Nyquil to kick in and I can sleep.

I woke up this morning deciding to give up on sleep. I just can't do it. I kind of feel like a failure in this way.
Gilbert is really sick. I should put him in quarantine since I can't afford to get sick especially since I haven't really slept well in the past few days. I think tonight I'm going to take some Nyquil and get some semblance of sleep. Of course, it's 5:30am so any plans I make now might change by tonight. I really need to eat something hearty. I'm thinking steak. I haven't eaten a steak in a year. I rarely eat steak. I think I need to eat a steak. A steak and a Caesar side salad and maybe some rice or corn. Can you get milk from a steakhouse? Maybe. If not I'll get a daiquiri or some kind of other fruity and yummy alcoholic beverage. I like my steak medium well, for those not in 'the know'. I don't like pink in my steak sometimes I get a slight pink in medium well but it's not too much and it's better then the steak being too done. I also hate using steak sauce; I think steak should stand up on it's own. I'll use A-1 if need be but I prefer not too. I just sneezed and almost throw up. That's not good.
Maybe I'll take a real early shower. That might help energize me. I know that I can't fall back asleep though. If I could I would do that. I want to work a double tonight I think. I dunno it's still early in the morning. I'm just rambling and making plans that will never pan out.

Working on no sleep, thank god it was a slow day and I got off really early. I'm about to force myself to eat a candy bar because I know that I'm hungry and I know that I need to eat but I just don't want to eat. I don't want to sleep either. I guess I don't want to do much of anything. Today was just a haze of burgers and sodas. I want to go downtown for a bit and just kill some time but I don't think I can.

Weekend Update with Norm McDonald

I have not a clue why I thought it would be a grand idea to wake up so early and so soon after first falling asleep but I'm awake now so I must make the best out of this situation.
My birthday was pretty awesome; one of the best. I had a great night where I accomplished getting incredibly drunk off of vodka and rum and I managed to take everyone else down with me. I got some really great things from Harlock and Linda but one of the best was when Linda sang for me. She's got such a beautiful voice I regret not having her sing for me since the first time we met.
I want to go out for coffee, I think. Take a nice shower and spend some time on my own today thinking. I never did finish those two stories I told myself to write but I did start them so I think that counts for something. I also need to decide what to crochet since I got this big ol' bag of yarn and the Creepy Cute Crochet pattern book.
Well, I got the whole day to figure out something. I kinda want to go out for coffee too. I'll decide after my shower.

This is Why I Love My Birthday Being on the 13th

Whenever I tell anyone that they inevitably make some comment about "OOh, what if it falls on a Friday?"
This year, it falls on a Friday and EVERYONE at work has said something to the effect; "I wouldn't have my birthday on Friday the 13th"
So far, on my 27th birthday, I've cleaned the house, am watching Empire Strikes Back, did the dishes, let one cup of coffee get cold, sent off two emails, and played with the cats all before a shower. I think today is going to be a busy day.

Woody Harrelson in is 2012. That's pretty cool. I love Woody Harrelson. I remember seeing him in something other than Cheers and was surprised that he wasn't an innocent country boy. Apparently, in 2012 he's some kind of blogger that supports the end of the world myth. Should be cool to see him in this role.
Also, according to Wikipedia, there is going to be a tv spin off of the movie which I don't care too much about. It's an interesting idea though since it focuses on 2013 and the survivors of the End of the World.
Speaking of the end of the world, The Road comes out later this month. I desperatly want to see this movie and have since I first heard of it's production years ago. The Road is my favorite book (if you haven't read it you probably should it's amazing) and while I know the movie adaption will be missing crucial elements that made the book a master peice I believe it is still worth watching. Unlike 2012, The Road takes place about ten years after the Apocolypse and deals with a father and son refered to only as that as they head to the Coast. While 2012 deals with a disaster on a global level, The Road centers on just two people, just a glimpse into humanity after the End.
Anyways, my birthday is coming up, I gotta save up movie ticket money and money for cookie dough bites!
